The Battle Tote
The first bag release of Bula Bag Co. and the signature design. The Battle painting was completed in January 2023 as a symbol of loud versus quiet. It celebrates life’s quiet battles, just like Bula herself experienced.
Cherry Blossom Boat Tote
This special painting was done by the artist just in time for the beautiful Cherry Blossom seasons all over the world! From Central Park in Manhattan to Traverse City, Michigan, the season is worth celebrating with this collection.
Shadow Tote
In the thick of a tumultuous marriage, the artist felt overshadowed by her narcissist husband’s actions and behavior. This charcoal drawing was completed in December of 2018.
Rosie Handbag
The Rosie Collection is in honor of a sweet 4-month-old pittie girl who was found wandering the frigid streets of Detroit. Rosie had a large wound on her side and is receiving medical care to heal from neglectful conditions.
Beginnings Handbag
The Beginnings painting was inspired by how as seasons change, trees adapt to their surroundings. The colors represent stages of life and each new beginning. It was completed in February 2023.
Poppy Handbag
Inspired by good fortune and good friendships, this piece represents happiness and contentment with where we are in our lives. This acrylic painting was completed in February 2014.

Bula Bag Company was founded in honor of Bula Kuechly, who passed away from cancer on May 24, 2023. I named her Bula because it means “good life”. For over nine years, I did the best I could to give her that good life. As an artist, writer, and traveler, I wanted to create something that would give other rescue dogs a good life, too. Bula Bag Company was founded on this mission.
